Luncheon Introductory Meeting

On July 14, H. E. Mr. Lukman Faily and his embassy staff attended luncheon meeting organized by Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME). JCCME set up "Iraq Desk" at the headquarters in February 2009, and has been providing information on Iraq to Japanese corporations and organized work shops, so that Japanese companies can obtain the latest.
The luncheon meeting was held to introduce the newly posted ambassador to Japanese business people mainly for the members of Japan-Iraq Investment Business Group. More than 60 people participated in it. Ambassador Faily delivered speech in which he briefed current situation and requirements of Iraq. Mr. Faily also encouraged Japanese companies to be on the ground in Iraq. From Japanese side, Mr. Jun Niimi, Deputy Director-General for International Trade Policy, attended the meeting on behalf of Mr. Tadahiro Matsushita, Senior Vice Minister of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. |
