Training Course Closing Ceremony Reception for Downstream Business in Oil Industry:

      H.E Mr. Lukman Faily, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Japan with his embassy staff, attended on August 2, 2010 the Training Course closing ceremony for Downstream Business in Oil Industry hosted by (JX Nippon Oil and Energy Corporation) for personnel from the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, which lasted from May 18, to August 3, 2010. The training course included practical sessions in one of the Group's refineries.

      Mr. Ambassador delivered a speech in which he extended his gratitude to the Japanese organizing group, who so far organized (18) training courses with a capacity of (320) Iraqi trainees in total. H.E. Mr. Faily thanked also Japan for the continuous support to Iraq which he hoped it could be extended to different fields, adding, that Iraq and Japan enjoyed a strong relationship during the sixties, seventies and the eighties of the last century and there is no reason preventing the two nations from having deep and strong relationship.

      In return, Mr. Kazushi Tomisawa, Executive Vice President, delivered a speech in which he welcomed Ambassador Faily for attending the closing ceremony and expressed his gladness for organizing the training course considering it as a bridge of communication between Iraq and Japan and he wished that his team succeeded in providing the Iraqi trainees, who considered them as one of the best Iraqi trainees they ever received, with necessary and useful information that will help them to improve their performance in the future. As away of showing appreciation and gratitude to the hosting side, Mr. Majeed Ejbair, Senior Chief Engineer and the Head of the Iraqi delegation, in addition to a number of Iraqi trainees delivered short speeches in which they thanked (JX Nippon Oil and Energy Corporation) for enriching their information and knowledge in refinery plant operation, and now they have also discovered new friends in Iraq.
