Ambassador Lukman Faily Meeting with Japan's Self-Defense Forces General Majors:
August 2, 2010
H.E Lukman Faily, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Japan, paid a courtesy call on August 2nd 2010 on Major General Mr. Kogyo Pancho, the Head of Policies and Military Programs Department and Major General Mr. Sigiro Kobayashi, the Head of Military Support Operations, at the Japanese Ministry of Defence. During the meeting, Ambassador Faily extended his appreciation to Japanfs supportive position towards Iraq which was clear for all to see through the great role of Japanfs troops stationed in Simawa City after 2003, and their great efforts and services that they provided to Iraqi people in this area. H.E Lukman Faily stressed the Importance of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two friendly nations. He also expressed that the JSDF first captured the heart of the Iraqi people before their minds with gentle and sensitive measured approach. For their side, General Major Pancho and General Major Kobayashi thanks the Ambassador for his visit and expressed their happiness about the Positive impression that they were enabled to make on the Iraqi people. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Ambassador presented his hosts with a gift that represent Iraqi heritage.
