The Republic of Iraq Ambassador Lukman Faily participated in the peace memorial ceremony in Hiroshima and Nagasaki:
His Excellency Lukman Faily, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Japan, attended the annual peace memorial ceremony in Hiroshima and Nagasaki city on August 6-9th. 2010. Mr. Naoto Kan, Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, a number of Japanese officials in addition to the Head of Diplomatic Missions in Tokyo attended the ceremony. Ambassador Faily, along with other heads of Missions (Australia, Canada and Holland) in Tokyo, were honored to be chosen by the city of Nagasaki as representatives of the diplomatic corps in Japan to dedicate wreaths together to the Fallen Atomic Bomb Victims.
