On August 20, Embassy of the Republic of Iraq received Junior High School Students from Okayama prefecture under the Junior Ambassador Program organized by Municipal Institute for International Co-operation.

The students were given an office tour to learn about roles, responsibilities and functions of the embassy. They also experienced volunteer work at the political division, the economic division, the consular division and the secretary division.

H.E. Mr. Lukman Faily talked briefly about Iraq history and current challenges. After the lecture, students visited the cultural office detached in Takanawa, Tokyo. Students also tried on Iraqi style clothes.

The Ambassador gave them a message in which he said;@gEnjoying your life is one thing. At the same time we need to explore foreign countries to understand each other. Every country has its own culture and tradition. Wars canft settle problems. Dialogs and diplomacy will resolve disputes. We all need to work together to establish justice and basic human rights. These will form strong foundation for global peace.h
