Iraqi Ambassador visit to Japan Business Federation (Keidanren)

picture H.E Mr. Lukman Faily, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq, visited the headquarter of Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) and met Mr. Fumiaki Watari, Chairman of the Board of Councilors in Keidanren and Senior Executive Advisor to JX Holdings, Inc, both discussed the economical bilateral relations between the two countries and the means needed to enhance it.

Mr. Watari indicated the importance of the bilateral relations between Iraq and Japan, which is based on a long term strategic vision, adding to that, Iraq is a wealthy country and enjoy a promising market that attract the interests of Japanese companies.

From his side, Ambassador Faily spoke about the achieved gains of the bilateral relations between Japan and Iraq, appreciating Japanfs role in supporting the democratic process in the new Iraq. H.E Mr. Faily cited that there are many sectors in Iraq a waiting for an effective contribution by the Japanese companies for the reconstruction of Iraq, and they should also take in to consideration that there is an international competition; therefore they should accelerate their presence in Iraq and invest in their good reputation among Iraqis. H.E Lukman Faily assured the Embassy's readiness to provide Japanese companies with help and support to facilitate their missions in Iraq.
