Mr. Ambassador pays a courtesy call on the Chairman and CEO of (NEXI)

On August 30, 2010, H.E Ambassador Lukman Faily paid a courtesy call on Mr. Takashi Suzuki, Chairman and CEO of the Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI), accompanied by the second secretary at the Embassy. Mr. Suzuki congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to Japan, and expressed his hope in the developing the bilateral relations between the two countries. For his part, Mr. Ambassador thanked his host for the congratulation, at the same time praised the historical relations between Japan and Iraq and the role of (NEXI) to encourage Japanese companies and businessmen to join the Iraqi market as the government agency that provides insurance for Japanese investments abroad. Mr. Faily added that the Japanese companies and products have a respectful history among Iraqi consumers; in addition, Iraq needs foreign investment for reconstruction. H.E Lukman Faily assured the Embassy's readiness to provide support, advice and information to Japanese companies and businessmen who wish to invest in the Iraqi market, for the common interests of both countries. |
