Ambassador Lukman Faily pays courtesy call on the Chairman of (JETRO)

picture On August 30, 2010, H.E Ambassador Lukman Faily paid a courtesy call on Mr. Yasuo Hayashi, Chairman of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), accompanied by the second secretary at the Embassy and the Iraqi Commercial Attache' in Tokyo.

The Ambassador thanks and appreciated the role of (JETRO) in supporting Iraq, by organizing the seminars, symposiums and exhibitions related to Investment in Iraq, which demonstrates the advanced relationship between Iraq and Japan. For his part, Mr. Hayashi presented his appreciation to Mr. Ambassador, and expressing his hope for more bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefits of both countries. The Ambassador said that "the most important objectives of his work in Japan as an Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq is to create a presence for the Japanese companies on the ground in Iraq, and the comprehensive partnership between the two countries should be in all sectors. In addition, Iraq is needs the Japanese investment for reconstruction".

Mr.Faily added that, the Embassy doors are wide opened to provide support to Japanese companies and businessmen wishing to participate in the Iraqi market. At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue cooperating to promote bilateral relations between Iraq and Japan.
