Visiting Kashiwazaki Kariwa Nuclear Station

H.E. Dr Ghanim Al-Jumaily visited Kashiwazaki Kariwa Nuclear Station at the invitation of Tokyo Electric Power Company. He was given a tour around the facility. Ambassador found inequalities of the ground from place to place, which showed the power of the Chuetsu off-shore earthquake. However there was no major damage to any of critical parts of the reactors. He expressed appreciation for the design and engineering of the reactors that enable them to withstand the force of the quake.

Touring around the facility, Ambassador hoped the resumption of their safe operation to secure stable electricity supply. TEPCO showed their willingness to tighten the safety measures and regain public trust.
