Charity Concert for the Support of Iraqi Children January 26, 2008
H.E.Dr. Ghanim Al-Jumaily, the Iraqi Ambassador in Tokyo, participated in the Valentine concert organized by JIM-NET (Japan Iraq Medial Networks). It was a charity concert by the famous Japanese Jazz musician, Sakata Akira. The proceeds raised from the concert will be used to provide medicine and medical treatment to Iraqi children.
Many of the participants bought valentine chocolate to help their fund raising campaign...
Dr. Minuru Kamata, the Director of JIM-NET said," We have to address the environmental and peace building issues to protect people’s lives. On February 14, we express love by sending chocolate to someone special. Why not share love with Iraqi children?"
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation and said, "People who affected war will survive by their strength. However their lives will be secured by your friendship and compassion."
