H.E. Dr. Ghanim Alwan Al-Jumaily Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq in Japan has opened the ceremony of international women's day, which held on Monday 10th of March 2008 at the chancery of embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Japan.

Ladies from Iraqi residents in Japan, Diplomats wives and women local staff in the Embassy have attended the ceremony.

The ceremony started with the speech given by H.E Dr.Al-Jumaily, appreciated the role of Iraqi woman in this great occasion and supporting her efforts to acquire the suitable position in political and social life away from discrimination and exclusion.

The celebration was ended by presenting of bouquets of flowers to the guests ladies.
